The Story

Karthikeyan NG kept a handwritten diary for 20 years. When he eventually couldn't maintain the writing habit, he started talking instead — and realised that speaking his thoughts was faster, more natural, and captured more nuance than writing ever did.

He looked for an app that could record voice entries, transcribe them, and analyse patterns with AI — all without sending private thoughts to a cloud server. Nothing like that existed. Every AI journal app he found sent data to external APIs. So he built DailyVox.

What Makes It Different

Most AI journal apps rely on cloud servers for AI features. DailyVox takes a fundamentally different approach: it ships the AI to your phone, not your data to a server. The trade-off is clear and intentional — slightly less elaborate AI conversation in exchange for a privacy guarantee that's mathematical, not policy-based.
